    The Competition Commission has struck down meter taxi drivers’ bid to declare internet app Uber as engaging in predatory pricing and anti-competitive behaviour.     SA Express won’t table results after failing auditor’s test

    Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown said she won’t table the SA Express annual report for the 2015/16 financial year by the deadline on Friday as the airline failed to satisfy the auditor general’s solvency and liquidity test. In a letter to the Speaker of Parliament Baleka Mbete on Thursday, Brown said she is not in a position to table the SA Express annual report including the audited financial statements for the 2015/16 financial year by September 30, 2016.

    Sanral should stop wasting taxpayers’ money and concede that they have followed an unlawful process in trying to toll the N1 and N2 freeways in Cape Town, the city’s mayor said on Thursday. “The City of Cape Town has won every round in court since we launched our review application on 28 March 2012 to set aside approvals that enable the South African National Roads Agency to toll sections of the N1 and N2 freeways in Cape Town,” Patricia De Lille said after a Supreme Court of Appeal ruling.
