MH370 wreck likely south of Java, simulations show
A 500 km by 500 km patch of ocean due south of the Indonesian island of Java is the most likely crash site of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, a group of German researchers say. That would direct search efforts for the plane – which went missing on March 8, 2014, on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing – about 3 500 km north from where they have so far been focused, the group says.

Alli’s ‘olive branch’ to De Lille over tolling
Sanral CEO Nazir Alli wrote to the city to seek a “win-win solution” and avoid legal action over tolling, but at the same time he said tolls were the only way to fund a project to upgrade roads. This emerged from correspondence between mayor Patricia de Lille and Sanral after the parastatal claimed on Sunday “her reply to their initial offer showed she had no interest in the project” and was bent on dragging them to court.

Public Protector Thuli Madonsela has found widespread evidence of maladministration, improper conduct, and nepotism at the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa.
