New road paves way into one of the biggest industrial estates in South Africa
JSE-listed real estate investment trust Redefine Properties, together with Abland Property Developers, on Monday unveiled the completed new public road that will improve accessibility to the S&J industrial estate, situated along the N3 highway, south of Germiston, in Gauteng. The construction of the Gosforth road extension started during 2017 and was completed on schedule. The R50-million road will be open to the public from the end of September.

JSE-listed real estate investment trust Redefine Properties, together with Abland Property Developers, on Monday unveiled the completed new public road that will improve accessibility to the 1.6-million square kilometer S&J industrial estate, situated along the N3 highway, south of Germiston, in Gauteng.
The construction of the Gosforth road extension started during 2017 and was completed on schedule. The R50-million road will be open to the public from the end of September.

Saldanha port’s iron-ore facility to shut for maintenance from Sept 26
Transnet Port Terminal’s (TPT’s) Saldanha iron-ore plant will shut down from September 26, as part of its yearly maintenance plan across mechanical, electrical and structural works.
TPT Cape Channel GM Velile Dube states that maintenance is a critical necessity at this stage, since the facility has already handled more than 27-million tonnes of cargo this financial year.

TNPA to prioritise ship repairs, oil and gas facilities at Cape Town, Saldanha ports
Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has identified infrastructure and port development projects that will be prioritised at its Cape Town and Saldanha ports.
This was announced following the Western Cape Regional Customer Forum, held on August 31. The forum is aimed at aligning TNPA’s plans to meet the business requirements of regional port users.
