    Mobility technology solutions provider Bombardier Transportation has appointed Andy DeLeone as its new president for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI). DeLeone will report directly to Bombardier Transportation president Danny Di Perna and will have full responsibility for the EMEAI region’s business, including customer relationship management, sales, services and project management.

    Future of Transport (FOT) Consulting expects the new policy on South Africa’s public transport subsidy regime to be finalised and presented to Cabinet for approval by the end of 2020. FOT Consulting strategic planning and transformation specialist Rehana Moosajee says a draft policy document should be available in the first quarter of next year, with stakeholder engagement to take place in the first half of next year.

    Two killed as South African plane crashes in Tanzania

    Two project directors were killed when a light aircraft registered in South Africa crashed in Tanzania on Saturday, the company said on Sunday.  “U Dream Global: Cape to Cairo Challenge is devastated to report that there has been an accident of the flight support aircraft and that the project directors, Des Werner and Werner Froneman, have lost their lives,” a short statement on their Facebook page said.
