    Jarana defends SAA’s poor performance, lack of turnaround

    State-owned South African Airways (SAA) on Tuesday said it was again taking “urgent steps” to address issues raised by the Auditor-General’s (AG’s) office in its 2016/17 audit report, which was released last week. “The AG has given us a comprehensive diagnosis into key areas of our business and this has provided deep insights,” SAA CEO Vuyani Jarana said in a release issued on Tuesday.

    Durban on track to open public transport network

    The City of Durban is on track to start its GO!Durban integrated public transport network from Pinetown’s central business district (CBD) to KwaMashu’s Bridge City in the latter part of this year. Aligned to the eThekwini municipality’s vision to be Africa’s most caring and liveable city by 2030, this integrated public transport network will give people access to places and opportunities in Durban.
